About GradCompass

GradCompass is an online consultancy platform for graduate admissions abroad. It was founded in 2024 by a group of students at NUST School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (SEECS) led by Muhammad Ahmed Mohsin. Our mission is to provide students with the best possible guidance and resources to help them navigate their way through the complex process of applying to graduate programs abroad. We provide a range of services including profile evaluation, research matching with faculty, application assistance, and interview preparation. Our team of experienced mentors and consultants are here to help you every step of the way.

Our mentors will help you identify your research interests and find the best faculty members to work with. We will guide you through the process of identifying potential research domains and matching them with faculty members who share your interests. Moreoevr, we will help you reach out to faculty members and establish contact with them to discuss your research ideas.

Iterate through your SoP

In this step, we will help you craft a compelling Statement of Purpose (SoP) that highlights your academic achievements, research interests, and career goals. We will work with you to create a personalized SoP that showcases your unique strengths and experiences. Our mentors will provide feedback and suggestions to help you refine your SoP and make it stand out to admissions committees.

Refining your CV according to academia standards

In this step, we will help you create a professional Curriculum Vitae (CV) that highlights your academic achievements, research experience, and relevant skills. We will work with you to format your CV according to academic standards and ensure that it effectively communicates your qualifications to admissions committees. Our mentors will provide feedback and suggestions to help you improve your CV and make it more competitive.

In this step, we will help you write a compelling Diversity Statement that highlights your unique background, experiences, and perspectives. We will work with you to craft a personalized statement that showcases your commitment to diversity and inclusion. Our mentors will provide feedback and suggestions to help you refine your statement and make it resonate with admissions committees.

Founders

Ahmed Mohsin -- Founder and CEO

Muhammad Ahmed Mohsin is the founder and the CEO of GradCompass. He is a graduate of NUST School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (SEECS) and is currently pursuing Ph.D. from Stanford University in Electrical Engineering. His expertise lies in the field of reinforcement learning and 6G communications. He secured admissions at top universities in United States and is eager to help students navigate their way through the complex process of applying to graduate programs abroad.

Muhammad Bilal -- Co-founder

Muhammad Bilal is the co-founder of GradCompass. He graduated from NUST's School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (SEECS) and will be pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of California, Irvine. His research focuses on the intersection of reinforcement learning and wireless communications. Bilal possesses firsthand experience with the complexities of applying to graduate programs in the United States and Canada. Currently serving as a mentor at GradCompass, he is enthusiastic about guiding students searching for research positions abroad.

Ali Subhan -- Co-founder

Meet Ali Subhan, one of the brains behind GradCompass. Ali completed his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (SEECS) at NUST University, Islamabad. He is currently a part of the prestigious Eramsus Mundus Joint Masters in Artificial Intelligence (EMAI) Program and he will be visiting top European Universities in Spain, Netherlands, Italy and Slovenia as a part of his Masters including a summer school at University College London. His research interests and expertise lie in Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Data Science. Ali is passionate about assisting students in securing admissions to top graduate schools across Europe.

Muhammad Ali Farooq -- Co-founder

Muhammad Ali Farooq, a researcher in the intersection of AI and hardware design. With a published paper and a notable third-place win in the Efabless AI Generated Open-Source Silicon Design Challenge, Ali possesses a deep understanding of cutting-edge technologies. Having garnered fully funded admission offers from esteemed institutions like the University of Toronto, Arizona State University, Politecnico di Milano, HKUST, and UGhent, Ali is equipped with firsthand experience to guide aspiring undergraduate students towards successful ventures in academia abroad.

Hassaan Ghazali -- Co-founder

Hassaan Ghazali is the co-founder of GradCompass. He is also a graduate of NUST School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (SEECS) and is set on pursuing a Masters in photonics engineering in a joint program with the University of Ghent and VUB, Brussels. His expertise lies in the field of integrated photonics. He is currently helping students secure admissions abroad.

Hassan Rizwan -- Co-founder

Hassan Rizwan serves as a mentor at GradCompass. He completed his Bachelor in Electrical Engineering from SEECS, NUST and will attend graduate school at University of California, Riverside. He has researched copiously in wireless communications and blockchain technologies. Hassan knows how to play cards right so he advises UG students on how to pursue graduate studies in USA.

In his role, he spearheads technical duties, ensuring smooth operations and innovative advancements within the company's domain.
